Caramel Apple Cake
Try this delicious apple spice cake layered with freshly sliced apples and your favorite caramels!
Heat oven to 350°. Spray a tube pan with spray oil. Mix dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking power, and cinnamon) together until well blended. In another bowl, mix butter, apple cider, sugar, eggs, and oil. Add the dry ingredients, and mix until the batter is smooth. On the bottom of the pan place a thin layer of apples. Pour half of the batter in the pan and then add another thin layer of apples and Caramel Creams®. Pour the remaining batter in the pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when poked into the center of the cake. Let cool. Mix all if the icing ingredients together except for the Caramel Creams®. Pour the icing over the cake and garnish the top with a ring of Caramel Creams®.
